Vlad Cioplea

VSLO is for me one of the hottest gangs one can have. I know that a handful of people started this project and turned it into a big family. When I think of VSLO it comes to mind Vama Veche, sea, exhibitions, workshops, concerts and Papa la Soni. I admire the fact that it is the only photography festival that has reached a hard-to-reach level in Romania, where famous photographers from abroad are invited, but they are also encouraged those who just start to learn photography.

VSLO is about emotions, the chance to talk to dozens of people about my soul projects, and to expose the best works, to get instant feedback. I had twice the opportunity to come to Vama and tell about my month spent in Tanzania in the wild and in the tribes, but also about “Stories from the station”, a project with travelers and their experiences.

VSLO memoirs you do not forget easily because they enter your soul and they stay there. I hope that VSLO will celebrate over time its centenary.
